Head of HSE (m/f/d)

As an experienced Head of HSE, you will use your negotiating skills and powers of persuasion to successfully represent the company's interests. With a high level of initiative, a sense of responsibility and a solution-oriented way of thinking, you will manage projects efficiently and in a target-oriented manner - in close cooperation with the management and external partners. Enjoying occasional travel and site visits, you will always stay close to the action and ensure smooth processes on site.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Degree in engineering, environmental science, safety management or related field, alternatively demonstrable experience in a comparable position
• Additional training as an occupational safety specialist, health and safety coordinator for construction sites, SCC or similar certificates (e.g. ISO 14001, DIN 50001) is desirable
• Several years of experience in the implementation and monitoring of occupational safety and environmental protection measures as well as in the management of HSE teams and the coordination of external service providers
• Very good knowledge of the relevant national and international regulations (e.g. Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHG, Waste Management Act) and experience with audits and certification processes (SCC, ISO standards)
• Experience in managing and developing teams
• Experience in the organization and implementation of projects in the field of occupational safety, environmental and health protection
• Ability to consult and cooperate with management authorities and external partners

YOUR TASK:

• Supporting management with occupational safety and environmental protection requirements
• Development, maintenance and control of the HSE organization
• Ensuring qualifications in the HSE area in consultation with the management
• Employee management and resource planning in the HSE area
• Coordination / management of external safety experts
• Health management in coordination with management and company doctor
• Assignment of duties on behalf of the management
• Selection and definition of PPE standards
• Management of the occupational safety committee
• Planning and organizing external audits in the areas of safety, health and environmental protection (e.g. SCC, specialist company § 19I WHG, DIN 14001, DIN 50001)
• Ensuring and monitoring waste disposal processes
• Creation of waste concepts and balances
• Reporting and analysis for management, associations and certifications
• Determination of requirements and qualification planning for employees
• Conducting personnel development meetings with a focus on psychological stress
• Representing interests and maintaining contacts with customers and authorities
